Description
The OWP vertical multistage stainless steel centrifugal pump is a multi-functional product. It can transport various media, such as tap water and slightly corrosive industrial liquids, and is suitable for different temperature, flow rate, and pressure scenarios. It is widely used in multiple fields, including water supply, industrial pressurization, industrial liquid transportation, water treatment, and irrigation. Specific applications include water plant filtration and transportation, zoned water supply in water plants, high-rise building pressurization, industrial process water systems, cleaning systems, high-pressure flushing systems, fire-fighting systems, cooling and air-conditioning systems, boiler feed water and condensate systems, machine tool matching, acid and alkali transportation, filtration systems, reverse osmosis systems, distillation systems, separators, swimming pools, and farmland irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, and drip irrigation.
Operating Conditions
The multi-stage vertical stainless steel centrifugal pump is suitable for:
The liquid should be thin, clean, non-flammable, non-explosive, and free of solid particles or fibers.
• Liquid temperature:
• Normal temperature type: -15°C ~ +70°C
• Hot water type: -15°C ~ +120°C
• Ambient temperature: Up to +40°C
• Altitude: Up to 1000m
Minimum Inlet Pressure NPSH
In a Vertical multi-stage corrosion-resistant centrifugal pump, if the pressure in the pump is lower than the vapor pressure of the transported liquid, cavitation may occur. To avoid cavitation, it is necessary to ensure that there is a minimum pressure on the inlet side of the pump.
Tips to share:
The maximum suction lift H [m] can be calculated by the following formula:
H = Pb×10.2 – NPSH – Hf – Hv – Hs
• Pb = Atmospheric pressure [bar] (The atmospheric pressure can be set as 1 bar; in a closed system, Pb is the system pressure [bar]).
• NPSH = Net Positive Suction Head [m] (It can be read from the maximum possible flow rate of the pump on the NPSH curve).
• Hf = Inlet pipeline loss [m].
• Hv = Vapor pressure [m].
• Hs = Safety margin = minimum 0.5 m head.
Judgment rules:
• If the calculated H is positive, the pump can operate under the maximum suction lift H.
• If the calculated H is negative, there must be a minimum inlet pressure of H head.
